At most dance schools you learn figures. You dance along to a choreographed routine, the follower does her steps neatly. Ultimately you have to memorize 87 figures and don't really know what you're doing.
At Bailando Latino we work differently.
We teach you to dance in digestible building blocks that you can creatively work with yourself. You understand what needs to happen as a leader and as a follower — technically, but also intuitively. As a leader, you can then create a unique dance every single time. No two dances are the same.
The result? You can dance with anyone — not just with your regular partner or classmates. At every party, everywhere you go 🙏🏻
The atmosphere makes the difference
You don't learn to dance with your feet alone. You also learn it with a smile.
At Bailando Latino people laugh, chat and curse — in a friendly way. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm, and everyone is welcome. We actively promote that everyone dances with everyone. No fixed partners, no barriers, no stiffness.
Whether you're 25 or 65, have two left feet or have been dancing for years — you're welcome.
Multiple locations, one community
Bailando Latino has branches in Lier and Edegem, and will soon possibly expand to Mechelen. So there's always a location nearby.
But they're not just studios — they're places where a real community has developed. People who dance together, celebrate together and see each other week after week.
It doesn't stop after the lesson
Every month we organize a fun party / practice night — so you can put what you've learned into practice right away. In addition, there are workshops, larger events and dance vacations throughout the year.
