Fluid, expressive and full of technique. In our lessons we also integrate elements of Bachata Sensual and Bachata Dominicana — so you get a broad foundation and develop your own style on the dance floor.

Bachata Sensual

Flowing, intimate and full of feeling. Bachata Sensual is about connection with your partner and fluid body movements that perfectly match the music. The most sensual form of bachata.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! Everyone is welcome — with or without a partner. We use a rotation system (not mandatory) where you switch partners during the lesson. This way you learn to lead or follow faster and meet new people.

Yes. You can take a trial lesson in Bachata during our trial lesson week, which takes place before the start of each new lesson series. This way you experience the atmosphere without any obligation.

Absolutely! We build everything step by step — everyone can follow along, even if you think you have "two left feet".

No problem. You simply pay per lesson, so you're not tied to anything. Come when it suits you, enjoy the lesson and set your own pace.

At Bailando Latino you can learn Bachata in Wommelgem (Autolei 113) on Monday and Thursday, and in Lier (Grote Markt 28) on Tuesday. There are beginner, improver and intermediate lessons. Wommelgem is about 10 minutes from Antwerp, Lier barely 30 minutes away.

Traditional Bachata is the classic style from the Dominican Republic. Bachata Moderna adds contemporary dance elements. Bachata Sensual emphasizes fluid, expressive body movements. At Bailando Latino you can take Bachata Moderna and Sensual.

Bachata is a romantic dance style from the Dominican Republic, danced to a characteristic 4/4 rhythm with a typical hip movement on the 4th beat. The style is accessible and popular throughout Europe.

We start a new lesson series 3 times a year: early September, just after New Year and around Easter. Bachata Moderna Beginners then start on Tuesday at 19:00 in Lier and Thursday at 19:30 in Wommelgem. Bachata Sensual has no Beginner level — you start from Improver level, on Monday at 20:00 in Wommelgem.
