Salsa LA or Salsa Cubana?

Salsa LA

Sharp, energetic and full of flair. With clear lines, quick footwork and spectacular moves. Perfect for those who want to stand out on the dance floor. Usually danced to slightly slower music.

Salsa Cubana

Spinning, playful and full of feeling. Salsa Cubana has its roots in Havana and breathes authenticity. The circular movements and Afro-Cuban influences make it the most characteristic form of Salsa.

Frequently asked questions

Not at all! Everyone is welcome — with or without a partner. We use a partner rotation system (optional) where you switch partners during the lesson. This way you learn to lead or follow faster and meet new people.

Yes. Your first lesson is free and completely without obligation. You don't need to wait for a new series: choose a lesson that suits you and just come along. Book your FREE trial lesson here.

Absolutely! We build everything step by step. Everyone can follow along — even if you think you have "two left feet".
No problem. You just pay per lesson, so you're not committed to anything. Come when it suits you, enjoy the lesson and set your own pace.
Salsa LA (Los Angeles style) is danced in a straight line and is athletic in nature. Salsa Cubana has a rounder, more playful movement based on the Cuban tradition. At Bailando Latino you can learn both styles.

You'll find the starter Salsa LA and Salsa Cubana lessons with day and time per location in the lesson schedule on this page. If you're a complete beginner, it's best to start in the first lessons of a starter series. New series start in September, January and around Easter.

In and around Antwerp you can learn Salsa in several places. Bailando Latino offers Salsa in Wommelgem and Lier, in small groups and with a free trial lesson to get started — both Salsa Cubana and Salsa LA, for all levels.
At Bailando Latino in Wommelgem (Autolei 113) and Lier (Grote Markt 28) — both a quarter hour from Antwerp. Salsa lessons on Monday in Wommelgem, Wednesday and Thursday in Lier.
