Salsa LA or Salsa Cubana?

Salsa LA

Sharp, energetic and full of showmanship. With clear lines, quick footwork and spectacular figures. Perfect for those who want to stand out on the dance floor. Usually danced to slightly slower music.

Salsa Cubana

Spinning, playful and full of feeling. Salsa Cubana has its roots in Havana and breathes authenticity. The circular movements and Afro-Cuban influences make it the most characteristic form of Salsa.

Not at all! Everyone is welcome — with or without a partner. We use a rotation system (optional) where you switch partners during the lesson. This way you learn to lead or follow faster and meet new people.

Absolutely! We build everything step by step. Everyone can follow along — even if you think you have 'two left feet'.

No problem. You simply pay per lesson, so you're not locked into anything. Come when it suits you, enjoy the lesson and set your own pace.

At Bailando Latino you can learn to dance Salsa in Wommelgem (Autolei 113, 2160) on Monday and Thursday, and in Lier (Grote Markt 28, 2500) on Wednesday and Thursday. There are lessons for starters, improvers and intermediates.

Salsa LA (Los Angeles-style) is danced in a straight line and is athletic in nature. Salsa Cubana has a rounder, more playful movement based on Cuban tradition. At Bailando Latino you can learn both styles.

Salsa LA Starters start at 19:00 in Lier (Wednesday) and at 19:30 in Wommelgem (Thursday). Salsa Cubana Starters start at 19:30 in Wommelgem (Monday) and at 19:00 in Lier (Thursday).
