At Bailando Latino in Lier we offer kizomba lessons every Monday in Salle d'Eau on the Grote Markt — a warm, welcoming hall where everyone is welcome. Whether you're a complete beginner or already know a few basics: we build everything step by step, in a group where you feel at home right away.
You don't need a fixed partner. We regularly change dance partners during the lesson, so you learn to dance with different people and really develop yourself as a dancer.
Which Kizomba style do you learn?
At Bailando Latino, the foundation is traditional Kizomba. No complicated choreographies or endless figures, but dancing from connection, feeling and musicality.
You mainly learn how to truly dance together. As a leader, you discover how to give signals clearly and comfortably, while as a follower you learn to sense and follow those signals naturally. This creates a flowing dance in which both partners are connected to each other and to the music.
We therefore focus strongly on technique, leading and following. Not simply memorizing steps, but understanding why and how a movement works.
The result? You build a strong foundation with which you can dance freely and improvise, without relying on rehearsed combinations. This way you can enjoy Kizomba with different dance partners and different songs.
